Do you do more of sitting or standing at work?

My sitting posture is the worst.

I sit on an L shaped couch, on the L side with my feet up. I'm in this position for many hours.

That said, I stretch my legs so that they don't lock up, and I also do 3 mile walks/runs every two days, and 1-2 days of leg workouts a week. I hope that balances things out...
 
I will always pray that God will make a way for most employees. Most of them are seeing hell at their workplace, and it is never really fair on them. I wouldn't want to work at a place where I don't get the right support from the employer.
Some people are slaves at their workplaces. I know quite a few guys in such situations but they can't help it because they are held hostage at work.

Not employer gives support rather they want to take the little support you are getting from customers. I pray that all employees can get things that will give them rest and also touch the employers to be humane for once.

Touching, whether physical or emotional, is a no-go in today's work culture. It could lead to an HR complaint or even being fired for inappropriate behavior.

When that left the workforce, it made it feel dead.

I could often compliment a female and not feel worry, but then things shifted with assault training and easier reporting, and females took advantage of that for career growth. It was at that time that I kept my physical/emotional distance from both men and women, because men would also report it as Don't Ask, Don't Tell was repealed and some would report "unwanted" interactions for growth too.
 
And the truth of the matter is that there are more people out there praying that you lose that job which some employers always use it as an advantage to do whatever they like.
There are no friends at your workplace. Some of the people working with you are plotting for you to be sacked for them to take your position as well. It's a crazy world we live in.
 
I kind of want to invest in a desk. Sitting on this L-shape portion of my couch all day doesn't seem too healthy.

If I do get a desk, it's going to be one that lifts so that I can sit and then stand, going back and forth throughout the day.

I stretch my legs so that the tendons don't get too tight being in this position, but I don't know if that's enough.

It is always very easy for you to leave any job which is going to be detrimental for your health. Even though I know it might be difficult for you to secure another job but when your health is ruined because you want to stay on a job for a long time, who is actually the one that is losing?

The military definitely wouldn't be a good choice for you then. 😅

I must say that it does open up a lot of doors after your first four years. Even more, if you take advantage and get college credits, and can push for a graduate degree with the educational benefits you earn after leaving.

I think it's going to be very difficult for even someone who's with a lot of weight to stand up all day or most of the hours in a day at work. I've sent some security guards that way and I wonder how it's easy for them to stand up for so long.

Believe it or not, pulling security, if you do it right, is a great way to drop some weight.

If you have to pull a 12-hour shift, walk parking lots, perimeters, etc., and reporting in, you're going to lose weight cause there's really no time to chow down.

From there, it gets easier as you gain the endurance to do it, and also lose some unneeded weight.

I think you're right. I have a friend whom works as one, he's a little bit fat but I've never seen him complain about his weight making it difficult for him to cope with the pressure.
 
There risks at work that should be avoided at all cost if it's something that you can do. This is definitely one of them and I pay attention to it.
No matter how much they are paying you at work, if anything happens that you can no longer be able to do your expected duties, they are going to have you replaced which is why you have to make your health your priority.
 
There was a job which I used to work even on Sunday. I had to take the job then because I was desperate in need of it. The job drained me. I had to quit after 6 months.
