I know I've owned quite a few since the year 2009. xD My very first forum was a Pokemon forum that was hosted on Forumotion. I was a complete noob to the game and I had no clue what I was doing. I only had 10 members and most of them were people I knew from real life. It focused mainly on modifying the old Pokemon games, and this was before disassemblies were available making it very difficult to even hack the games. Because of that, and my lack of experience it didn't go anywhere and I shut the forum down shortly after making it...

thanks to the way-back machine I can show

Some of the CSS didn't get cached though.

Thanks to ezBoard going under I can't find the link to my very first attempt at a forum, which is a bit of a blessing, lol. Been running forums since just before 2000, so quite some time.

Do you remember the link somehow?
If you created it before archive.org became a thing then that might be sadly unlucky then 🙁

I've looked, most ezboard links don't work anymore because they transferred them to Yuku and then onto Tapatalk, so they're just not there anymore.
I’m sorry to hear 🙁
Not sure why they would do that but it happened i guess lmao

It was called 'Chess Resources Forum'.

It was decently successful, and ran for five years - although, people hardly ever used the chess forums (and mostly just talked in the general sections 😛 ).

That's still a nice achievement 🙂

I created my first forum in 2017 and the forum was a part of my multi author blog site that was not opened for public posting but only for my blog writers. I created my first open forum in 2019 and it was called Crypto Talk

How was it running a forum for blog writers? How did your crypto forum do? Did you sell it or did you end up keeping it? What inspired you to launch it?

The very first forum that I owned was a general chat forum that I called Share Central, back then I was still new to forums and so that one didn't stay around for too long, I started that one in 2005.

It was 2009 when I started Chat Addicts, the general discussion forum that was my most successful from 2009 - 2017.

That's pretty neat. How many members did Chat Addicts end up having by 2017? Congratulations on the success of it.It's not easy running a general chat forum, but there's still room for them out there. What software did you use on Share central?
