I tend to watch TV or read until I feel drowsy enough to sleep. Some times, I'll turn off all the lights and stare at the ceiling and try to get my restless brain to let me go to sleep.

It has happened to me many times. I would keep rolling on my bed but I found lying in bed and calming my mind as a very good way to help. You can also try deep breathing and also listening to soothing music.I just lay in bed and hope that I will eventually fall asleep. I don't like getting out of bed if I can't sleep, I prefer to just stay in bed.
