Pokemon Go Players?

I never played it but our kids used to be huge Pokemon Go players. Especially back in the day when you could use a map. And these days they play Pokemon Go with my 6-year-old grandson which I think is awesome. Because they make a family event out of it. And whenever they so play, the next time I see my grandson he tells me all about it.

P.S. I think more families should have family events and bring their family closer together. My wife and I have a family dinner with the kids every Sunday. They come over and eat and spend a good 4 to 5 hours with us.

I think one of the best features about making a pokemon game like Pokemon Go is the interactivity that you can have with other people! I still have fond memories of the summer the game came out and seeing hoards of people chasing a rare pokemon spawn or going to fight a gym as a team. There's still a thriving community for the game, but early on the lack of features (and fan favorite pokemon) really hampered its popularity.

I still log on occasionally, mostly for the cute outfits that they release sometimes lol.

I have a really good phone, so that doesn't bother me too much. I stopped playing, because I didn't have any poke stops near me, and I didn't want to walk(stopped paying for data).
What kind of smartphone are you making use of? Let me guess an iPhone? All these new flagship phones are very good when it comes to gaming because they have good RAM space and storage too.

I started playing Pokemon Go back in 2017 I believe it was. It was on days out with the family that I found not only myself but also my family would play it quite a bit, I always remember we would carry power banks with us and charger cables so that we could keep our phones charged when we were out.

I started playing Pokemon Go again just last year after a big break and have been amazed at how much it's changed and the updates they have made. I wouldn't say I play it as much as I used to when it was first released though.

Is the app still as battery-hungry as it used to be back in around 2017-2018? I remember it taking up so much battery.

I started playing back in 2016-2017. During this time, there was a hype. Whenever I was out at the park, street, and even gym locations, people were standing pressing their heads on the phone screen. That's when I realized I was not alone. I met friends but when I stopped playing after a year, they were also gone. Just this year on TikTok, I met a Pokemon Go player.

Today, I rarely use it because most of the time I don't go out since I work from home.

We are still having a movie night picked out in my family. Everyone comes home and get ready for us to come together as one family to enjoy a movie together. It helps us bond so well.
