I can't save money because I live on a fixed income and there is no money to save. But if I had extra money, I would do what you do and save 20%.

Correct! This is why I don't like using credit card because the temptation to spend more will be there always.

Being able to save money and know you have saved enough gives a great feeling. It gives me so much confidence in myself.

If you make more money, it's going to be easy for you to save more. Try and expand your streams of income. This will boost your chances of making more money and saving too.

I don't think we are ever going to see that because the price of everything keeps going up and not down. Seems like every time I go to the grocery store there is a price increase on something.

This is a very good plan by the looks of it. If it's possible for you to get more income streams and not depend on only one source, it's going to be very helpful.

Bill are high, inflation are very high too. Cost of living is so high many people are struggling to survive.

It is not easy to save at all, especially when you have needs that require you to spend. The fair part is when you are able to handle how you manage the money, which you said you are good at.

I try to save anywhere from 15 to 20% based on the expenses incurred in a given month. I have found that automating the transfer of money right after the payday to a savings account really works wonders.
