It is not uncommon to see people who have got some mouth odour and smell a bit off. When you get close to someone who is experiencing that, how do you end up telling them that they've got a mouth odour?
 
I think it needs to be approached with care like saying something like, "Hey, I've noticed you have bad breath sometimes. I care about you and want to help. Maybe we could pick up some mints or gum together. This way, you're showing concern without being judgmental.
