If money isn't going to be a serious issue for you, I would go for an upgrade because it gives you everything better in an overall manner.
Oh, I am.
I'll be getting the top of the line Razer next laptop.
I just don't like getting rid of things that are still quite very well up to date to get the latest and greatest. I'm sure that the Razer laptop will process what I need quicker, but by how much, it might not be a noticeable difference as, let's say I'm exporting 100 RAW photos to 25 megapixels, I'll just walk away, have a coffee, and come back with it done. I wouldn't notice the speed difference unless I sat in front of it.
If I were to buy today, I'd go with the Razer Blade 17 as the 18 feels like it might be a little too big (my laptop backpack is rated for 17", but with the tight form factor of Razers, it would probably fit the 18 just fine).

The top of the line has a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-12900H, while I'm currently running an 11th Gen i7-11800H
With real-world speed testing, it has a 12% performance boost over what I currently have.
Where it probably shines the most is the upgrade from DDR4 to DDR5 memory and a better graphics card. The tasks that I perform, I might see a boost of 15-20% or so, but I rarely use it that often to justify the speed increase -- like I'll only export a gallery or two a month, not on a daily basis.
So, while it's coming time to upgrade, I might just wait for the next iteration of the Razer Blade 17 and then move to it over upgrading now to have a +25% boost and live with that another 2-3 years.
