Do you consistently use social media platforms for something you can't leave it for? Take for instance, if you're using it for business, it's going to be very difficult to take some time off it but if it's only for personal reasons and catching up with friends, it's easy to take some time off it.

Have you ever taken time off social media?

I haven't been posting on Social Media for a few weeks now.I have not been feeling well so I stopped posting.

I am consistent with my WhatsApp because I used it for my business but Facebook isn't something I check everyday. I can stay away some days away from Facebook. I haven't check my Twitter for some months now. I decided to take some time away from there because it's not helping me.
It's going to be impossible for me to get off my WhatsApp because I do so much on it everyday. I might stay off Facebook a few days or even weeks but never off my WhatsApp.

When my girlfriend left me with our baby, I was broken but I had to be very strong. Cutting off using social media sites that time was a very good decision because it helped with keeping my sanity intact.

Thank God you are better now. Social media don't help whenever someone is in pains or being depressed rather you will be seeing things that will make you more mad and go deeper in regretting your life or mistakes.

I have been taking a break from Facebook lately. I only logged back in on Mother's Day and on my birthday. I wished my mom a happy Mother's Day since this was the first one where she was on Facebook and I wanted to make a post about her. I thanked everyone for the birthday wishes when my birthday rolled around. (It was the day after Mother's Day btw.)

Last weekend when I was on a trip, spent most of the day outside instead on a PC or phone.
Technology made us not to be enjoying the beautiful sceneries. It feels good to take out some time and go on a trip or take a holiday, having all the good moments in this life and forgetting about our phone or PC for that moment.

Taking one week off from social media brought me genuine fufilement last month because I was able to focus on what really matters and I still do it now when I returned to my normal life without it. The amount of dependence I had on social media was way too much.
