Neopet is waxing stronger and in my opinion, it is the most popular pets site but I also see marapet gaining significant popularity lately. Overall, neopet takes the cake. As for the numbers of members that are usually online. That I can't figure out because it depends on the time of the day and it also has to do with the site's overall activity.

I will go with Adopt Me as the most popular pet site game right now. The being within within the Roblox platform paved way for its success since it was launched 2017. Its daily active users is normally more than 1 million. No other pet site games comes close to that number.

To be honest with you, I didn't know anything about Adopt Me, but based on the statistics you provided, the user base within the ROBLOX platform is quite impressive. I mean, an active user of 1 million in a day is a staggering figure and it tells us more about its popularity.

Adopt me is also at risk of shutting down for violating a Trademark. So, it'll be interesting to see what happens in this court case. They may be forced to rebrand or worse shut down if they're unable to beat the lawsuit.
It'll really be hard for anyone to surpass Neopets, but a lot of pet sites are slowly gaining on them. In fact, Flight Rising, Lioden, Wolvden, Marapets, Subeta, Webkinz all have a rising users base. Neopets hasn't attracted new users in quite sometime, so they're mainly focusing on attracting new users via the use of merchandise.
Flight Rising and Lioden both average over 1k-3k users online at any given moment, Neopets doesn't exactly display how many players are actively playing at the same time frame. Their stats are only discussed by their ceo. According to a former developer, Neopets is also living on borrowed time. They haven't really been focused on introducing new features, but just pay to win features, which is infact a major issues. Without new things, it'll be tough for a game to survive in this day in age.

The case of Adopt Me being sued means that the guys running the platform never did their due diligence before setting up some features to avoid trademark issues or what exactly?
