For me, it would have to be beef caldereta. I first tasted it when my late grandmother prepared it for dinner, and I was immediately hooked. This dish contains liver spread, cheese, potatoes, red bell peppers, and more. What’s your favorite local dish?

Mine is definitely toasted ravioli! If you ever come to the St. Louis area, you need to try it! I'm not the biggest fan of our pizza though, it's thin crust and we use provell cheese. It's Imos pizza, you can get a frozen one sent to your house if you can't make it to St. Louis.

In Nashville TN, they have these food trucks selling Carne De Asada. It's basically onions and beef spread over a small tortilla and there are two sauces that come with it. Usually it takes two to fill you up so you'd be paying around $10.

Has anyone tried these? I never heard of them until I came to Nashville. I only knew the Mexican food sold at Taco Bell etc. and some higher up restaurants like La Caretta. Anyway, food trucks are not popular in East Tennessee where I'm from. I'm guessing they're an urban thing.

My favorite local dishes are our tacos and quesadillas. I believe they’re the best around because they’re absolutely delicious!😋
Especially with the salsa verde!

They’re probably on par with the tacos and quesadillas from California as well.
