Were you allowed your Tamagotchi at school?

Heard so many stories down the years of Tamagotchis getting banned, did your school ban them? I'm pretty sure mine did!

My school definitely banned them because I remember having to leave mine behind and I told my mom to feed it while I was at school but it died because she forgot to feed it lol. My sister had one as well and we were both sad when we came home from school and we found our Giga Pets were dead. (Yeah I know I didn't have a Tamagotchi but I had the off brand version. :V)

They were banned. The reason for the banning is that students are getting distracted from them. It was some years back, I don't think they will still do it now.

This made me go back memory lane. The Tamagotchis were indeed a sensation in the 90s. Their huge traction back then led to them being banned in so many schools and the ban was due to concerns about distractions among others.

My school banned Tamagotchis. I still remember how my teacher confiscate mine. Their thoughts was that we will too distracted by our virtual pets.
