Who has used the forum software as an admin and/or user? What do you think of it? How would you compare it to other forum software? What themes and mods do you like for it?

Myself, I am impressed with it, but it's certainly not perfect. Well, one big problem is there is no avatar resizer and there's not as many mods as MyBB, and another problem is lack of one-click things (one-click mod and theme uploading etc..).

Anyway, I am not so dependent on one-click stuff, being an experienced web developer.

I had no issue with phbpp except adding add on lols it was a pain in the Ass. i was on it till i switched to XF

I continue to support phpBB after running the software both as administrator and regular member. The system provides extensive customizations. The manual installation process is quite straightforward but the one-click setups would provide a better experience.

The web development expertise I have allows me to recognize and appreciate the extent of customization options and flexibility phpBB provides. The Extensions Database simplifies mod installation despite the obstacle of not having one-click installations. The security measures and the regular system updates are what impresses me the most about this software.

I do not have a phpbb forum at the moment but until recently I was using it. I like this open source forum script it is responsive and a lot of add ons are still officially maintained.
