They are definitely Rock and NU Metal of the early 2000s, Well their early stuff anyways.Would you say Linkin Park is rock? They are my favorite band from when I was a kid. My friends and I would jam out to them while we skateboarded. It was a blast!
That's basically on point. They are usually categorized as alternative rock, however, they have created a variety of music from heavy metal and hip hop to electronica and pop.
I heard they fell off when they went from Rock/Metal to Pop.They fall within the various categories of rock, for sure, a few different labels, but they are essentially their own thing.
Yeah, their later material did cost them a few fans, but I get why they did it, bands have to evolve to stay relevant. It's unfortunately they went so far into the pop field, but I do understand the logic behind it. It's fine to keep evolving your sound, but don't leave your long term core fans behind.I heard they fell off when they went from Rock/Metal to Pop.
Because the metal fans moved on and the pop fans already had the kardashians.
I love when bands evolve but they definitely did change their sound so much that hard-core Rock fans just couldn't do it anymore, Even as a Rock fan Heavy & One More Light are decent though.Yeah, their later material did cost them a few fans, but I get why they did it, bands have to evolve to stay relevant. I wish they stuck to the route.Yeah, Hybrid Theory was fantastic and Meteora really put them on the map.
