Neopets was my first, then I checked out other sites. I was excited for Marapets because it seemed very adult to 'edgy' child me- and I was creeped out by the morbidness. I also loved Zetapets and longed for the new website, but that seemed to never come out. I could not wait to turn 13 and create my own club back then lol!
I loved Kiropets which doesn't exist anymore. It was probably my favorite pet site to roleplay on. RIP Kiropets! I moved on to Anatheria, which seemed to become inactive pretty quickly when I joined. Loved the club feature. I discovered and fell in love with Ettapets. When a few online friends I made there discovered Rescreatu, we went there quickly! Unfortunately I think Ettapets died off a few years later. I don't think it's related. Ettapets seemed really user friendly with amazing art and people. It made me sad to see it longer exists.
I had an extreme helicopter parent who logged into every site I had access to once she delved into my computer, and then I was forbidden to go online again and lost contact with the amazing people I met. I just got access back to my old rescreatu account (thanks to a really sweet mod!) at the age of 27 and I've reconnected with two people I met back in time.
