I like using my gaming monitor when it comes to gaming. But I have a friend who prefers to use his TV because of the larger screen, and it's even cheaper.
I still prefer the gaming monitor for its fast response time and the advance settings it comes with..
What about you?

I'm making use of my TV. It's big enough being a 55 inches television. I don't have any need to buy a separate monitor for my playing of video games.
You are on track, my friend. I think a bunch of gamers resorted to using the TV for the wider screens. I like it too because it enhances my gaming experience and since I already have a TV, I don't need to buy a gaming monitor.

The bigger the display output, the better view for me when I'm playing video games. It's why I always go for the TV with bigger screen.

For years I always used a TV for my gaming but since switching from a TV to a monitor in April, I have not looked back and very glad that I was able to upgrade from my TV.

Gaming monitors always seemed geared more towards playing video games, not to mention that a TV unless it was 32' or smaller would seem ridiculous.
I agree with you. Gaming monitors are made with the interest of the gamers in mind, they come with things like a shorter response time, higher refresh rate and lower input lag. Although, TVs have come a long way in terms of gaming but they are still not as good as monitors, especially for PC gaming.

I use my smart TV for gaming. I use a HDMI with my laptop too, and connect to my TV. I'm not a big fan of monitors because they're more limited compared to a good TV.
I believe it is a good idea to use smart TV to play games. It's easy and saves money. So, it's not necessary to buy a new monitor. That is why it is a perfect choice for many gamers.

I also use a gaming monitor. The first thing that really makes a huge difference in gaming is the fast response time and the ability to tweak it further with the high-level settings. This I can't get in TV.

Gaming monitor is designed to provide better features that are specific to gaming needs. The ability to move quickly, adjust aspects are what you can't get with TV. Also, the display modes and a lower input lag make time for a much more responsive gaming experience

Since I did not own a gaming monitor before, I was just using my television. However, I understand that a gaming monitor is better, as it is specifically designed for a better gaming experience.
