With SpaceX and NASA making such progress, I think it's a matter of when and not if anymore. The idea of humans becoming a multi planetary species is so exciting and I know that it could also ensure our survival. Do you think humans will ever colonize other planets?

I'm so optimistic about this too. Colonizing other planets could also lead to new resources, scientific discoveries and it could also be a fresh start for humanity. It's crazy though. 🤣

I can definitely see it happening someday, I don't think it'll be soon but it could be at least 20 or 30 years from now. I don't know if most of us alive now will be alive to see this happening.

You're going to need to increase travel speeds in order for colonization to happen.

It takes like 6-9 months to reach Mars. Who would agree to that? What happens when you have serious buyer's remorse on it? You would have wasted 1.5-2 years of your life just in transit to get there and back.

That's such a great point. If that will happen, we’ll need to address issues like radiation protection, and the psychological effects that is associated with the long-term space travel. But I believe the benefits outweigh the challenges.

In time the challenges shouldn't matter and we'll be able to live in space without issue, but it's going to take time and adapting.

Elon Musk is one man who's obsessed about another planet and he's working so hard on it. It might happen sooner than we thought.

One thing I haven't heard spoken about, except in scientific literature, etc., is that 6 months in space reduces your bone mineral density by 10%. Knowing just that, you're more prone to fractions. So, we're going to need some holistic way of treating essentially osteoporosis, or we're going to become jellyfish pretty quickly. Some drugs treat it, but they're essentially steroids, which can wreak havoc on every other part of your body including liver to cardiac issues. So, there's a hurdle there that's being overlooked by just getting there.
