Do you reward your members on holidays?

Rewarding members during holidays is a great incentive and shows appreciation for the community. Many pet sites do this through an Advent Calendar, where users can collect items and points throughout the month of December.



Other pet sites might give out gifts on specific days throughout the month.

Flight Rising celebrates various micro-holidays, as does Subeta. Marapets also hosts special weather-themed events.


Neopets features plots and events, which can be similar to holiday celebrations, and they also offer an Advent Calendar.

Ahh, so mini events? Anything that rewards members can benefit a community/site.
 
Holiday incentives are a great concept which can be used to entice members as well as attract other members into joining. Like any other web-sites many pet sites also come up with themes related to holidays in the form of items, quests or bonuses. Some even design specific pets for the holiday.
