Special meals usually occur on holidays or maybe Sunday for me growing up.

I wouldn't say that I eat specific meals on a weekend. I remember growing up, it was always a Sunday dinner on a Sunday which was a choice of meat with mashed potato or roast potatoes, vegetables, and gravy.

This is good. Over here, I tend to eat rice in different forms most weekends. That's how I enjoy my weekends.

I don't take special food during weekends. I just make whatever that is assigned to be made during that particular day. Nevertheless, I don't have issues with anyone eating a particular meal during those periods as well.
