Digimon has recently filed a new trademark for the name "Digimon Alysion", which could possible be a new anime series.
However, there probably won't be any news regarding the name until the Digicon 2025 event, but until then, what do you think the new name will possibly be?

just days ahead of Digicon 2025, Bandai is revealed to have laid claim to a new trademark that is generating excitement about a possible new installment to the franchise in light of the promise made that the company would focus on Digimon this coming year. Digimon Alysion was confirmed to be added to the public register, cementing that there may be a new anime or another game to be featured sometime soon.

This is just another thrilling addition to what has already been quite a busy week for the dormant series as it leads up to March 19th/20th, when Digicon will officially announce some of the projects Bandai clearly has planned. Just a few days prior, a trailer teasing a possible Digimon card game was circulating online, promising to reveal more details at said convention. With Pokémon receiving a lot of popularity surrounding its own TCG, fans might have another game to look forward to other than Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

It's been a long time coming, but Bandai is finally delivering on the promise it made when it said it would refocus on one of its best franchises to date. Digimon has two games cemented in its future so far, so is it too soon for audiences to rejoice at the possible inclusion of what may be a third game or an anime in light of the season? As the days tick down to Digicon, there has been news springing up left and right, highlighting this to be the most monumental convention for Digimon fans after last year's subtle disappointment.

Now would be the perfect time to announce a new Digimon anime after several years of waiting. While many have theorized about what storyline the series could pick up, there are a few hints that can be picked up on the name alone.

As the Digimon franchise returns its focus to its creatures based on Greek mythology, fans could see even more appearances of the Olympos XII, through Digimon Alysion. Until the fated day for Digicon, however, the fanbase will be waiting with bated breath for confirmation of this news about this once-dormant franchise.

The rumors are true. Digimon is getting a new anime series. However, 'Digimon Alysion' will not be its name. Instead, it will be called 'Digimon Beatbreak.' The new series is set to release in October.t

According toscreenrant ScreenRant and multiple other outlets, this is all the information that has been released so far:
A new Digimon anime is officially in development, marking the anime’s long-awaited return for fans old and new. While the Digimon franchise is as alive as ever, the anime side of things has been notably quiet; there hasn’t been a new project since Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning’s release in 2023, and while that isn’t too abnormal for Digimon, it’s still left a notable void for fans of the franchise.

The Digimon anime hasn’t been active in a while, but that’s finally set to change. Digimon will be hosting a special “Digimon Con” in Japan on Thursday, March 20, where information about upcoming projects will be announced, and surprisingly, it’s been officially confirmed that a new Digimon anime, Digimon Beatbreak, will air this upcoming October. There still isn’t much information to go on, but regardless, having a new Digimon anime at all is plenty worth getting excited about.

With Digimon finally getting a new anime in Digimon Beatbreak, that, of course, begs the question of what it will be about. At the time of writing, only a teaser and a key visual have been released, so unfortunately, there isn’t much to go on. What’s notable about the visual, however, is that it shows what appears to be a regular city as opposed to the Digital World, and based on that, Digimon Beatbreak will likely be another Digimon anime that primarily takes place on Earth as opposed to the Digital World.

Further details about the plot can be assumed from the tagline. The tagline for Beatbreak is “emotion-devouring digital lifeforms”, and while that doesn’t say much, it can be assumed that Digimon Beatbreak’s central conflict will revolve around Digimon robbing people of their emotions. With Digimon Beatbreak set for an October 2025 premiere, new information is bound to come out relatively soon, and hopefully, whatever the true nature of its story ends up being will align with what’s already been hinted at so far.

Digimon Beatbreak’s Tone Could Make Or Break The Franchise

Why Digimon Beatbreak Might Be Different From Other Digimon Anime

Something else worth considering is the possible tone of the anime. The key visual has a dark purple color scheme and shows the protagonist and his Digimon partner framed in shadow while standing next to graffiti, and with the conflict seemingly revolving around Digimon who steal people’s emotions, Digimon Beatbreak’s teaser trailer and visual both suggest that it will be a darker Digimon series compared to its predecessors. The most recent Digimon anime, Digimon Ghost Game, notably played around with darker subject matter, so another anime that fully embraces it would make perfect sense.

While a darker tone and atmosphere could allow for interesting story ideas and serve as a good way of acknowledging how much the original fans have grown up, going too far with it runs the risk of straying too far from Digimon’s core values, so Digimon Beatbreak can’t get too dark with its story or else it will risk alienating fans old and new. All of that is hypothetical, of course, and whatever Digimon Beatbreak’s story ends up being like, it will almost certainly be one of Digimon’s best anime, by far.
