They would still be considered self-employed since they own and operate their own business, even if they’re also working for another company. If someone have a business of his or her own, while still working for another venture, it still qualifies as being self employed right?
No. I am not.
It takes immense talent to be self-employed in my view and I don't have such talent 🙁
You're absolutely right about that. I know from my experience of running my own business of poultry and fish farming for 6 years. It was never easy from the beginning.No. I am not.

Congratulations on being a publisher! That’s awesome.🤩With my primary job, no......I am not self-employed.
Now, I write on the side and have gotten some of my work published. That's kind of my side hustle, I guess you can call it. But it's not my primary income.
I am self employed. I do not make the same amount every month consistently to pay the bills but in some month I make good income which helps me manage funds
It is great that you don't have to answer to anyone. The reason some people don't like working for others is because of the fact that they will want to make them work extra at the workplace without considering whether they are in good state to do the job.
A lot of people have this notion that being self employed means you do not have a barking boss and you work according to your flexible time structure. This is just not true. I do have to answer my clients, sometimes they are rude. I have to work according to their time zone, which sometimes ,means waking up in the middle of the night. It is great that you don't have to answer to anyone. Being self-employed doesn't mean you don't need to answer to anybody but the sweetest part is that you will be more freer and also take your time in doing things as you want it. There won't be no reason to over work or stress much, you rest and start again. It is a misconception that you won't be able to answer to anyone when you are self-employed. Anyone saying such is not telling the whole story as there are a lot of people (those in authority) that you will answer to even as you are not employed by another person.
Yeah, you're still answerable to your direct customers if you're self employed. If you don't do things for them in ways they expect it, they will not patronise your business/service.Being self-employed doesn't mean you don't need to answer to anybody but the sweetest part is that you will be more freer and also take your time in doing things as you want it. That's true but it won't be so difficult the way when you are working for an employer. Being answerable and doing things right to direct customers is a must to do in order to keep them.
