General Information
Poppy Seed Pets was created by BenMakesGames, a solo developer. The game has frequent updates and events. As stated, it's more of a semi-idle game, where your pet will do various activities over the course of the day, and when you check on them, you'll see what they've been up to.
Pets never die. Even if you've been gone for a while, or have been too busy to check on them, they'll continue to do things without you. There's no fear of losing them like in certain other petsites.
You can sign your pets up for sports events, which they have a chance to earn money from if they're on the winning team. Pets can craft items, go on adventures, collect food, and do a bunch of other things. There's even breeding, though it's more of a "happen by chance" instance, and not something you can make them do. Relationships can be formed between not only your own pets, but other players' pets as well. A lot of the gameplay revolves around how your pet interacts with the world around them, and it's a lot of fun to see what they've been doing.
Gameplay is quite slow, since PSP is very much on the casual side of things. You'll unlock different areas, items and much, much more over time. There are no ads being shoved in your face, as all of Ben's revenue to support the game comes from his Patreon page.
There are many, many pets (over 100) to choose from and discover, each with their own unique design.
