I've never thought of doing it professionally. I've always just played for the fun of it. I would think doing it professionally would take all the fun out of it.

Those playing professionally are also having fun. The difference is the amount of efforts that they put into ensuring that they win, which is quite different from a player who has nothing at stake.

To become part of a professional gamer, one needs to be talented, dedicated, and have a great competitive mind. The salary depends a lot on the game and how well you are able to perform in tournaments. It's a good profession though!

It is the dedication part that I am really going to struggle with because I have a lot that I would need to do aside from gaming. So, I can only consider going into professional gaming when I have the total focus to do so.
