It's not only human beings who are emotional creatures, animals have displayed emotional feelings to be recognised as such. There's a reason why they are referred to as emotional support animals.

From your experience with dogs and cats, which one do you think is more emotional?

In my experience dogs are better companion compared to cats. That's because dogs establish true bond, cats are free spirited animals, they never become too attached. They can leave you any time, dogs will never do that

I think dogs are definitely more emotional compared to cats. They are the best example of loyalty and they bond easily with their owners. They are able to sense the feeling of their owners and behave accordingly.

I believe cats are more emotional than dogs. I used to stay with my late granny that got both of them, and I know how they always behaved when angry or felt offended by my granny.
Dogs are more emotional but on the other hand, I think the question is not whether one is more emotional than the other, but how they show it.

Yes, that's true. I can't really say that one that supercedes the other when it comes to showing emotions. Both dogs and cats show their emotions in different ways but just that dogs tend to be overly emotional.

They’re both awesome in their own ways. I’ve always found that both dogs and cats can be affectionate and great for emotional support, it just depends on the animal and the bond you build with them. I don’t really see one as better than the other. I’ve never had a dog or cat that wasn’t great in their own way. They each show love differently, but it’s still love.

Has anyone else had a cat that acted more like a dog, or a dog that was more like a cat? It’s kind of funny how their personalities can flip sometimes.🤣

I am still wondering how dogs show their emotions. Could you care to explain your experiences with them?
Dogs and cats exhibit feelings in different ways. Dogs might show it by tail-wagging, cats might act more classy in expressing themselves. Maybe through body language or something like that.

I've seen a cat that acted more like a dog. It was my friend's cat that showed deep affection for her dad when he was in so much pain before passing. The cat never left his side for 3 days until the day he drew his last breath.
