Statement from Nintendo: Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders Delayed Due To Tariffs, Release Date Still June 5

Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions. Nintendo will update timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged.

It’s a slight possibility that the price may be adjusted as well due to the tarrifs as well.

The Nintendo Switch 2 boast some amazing graphics enhancements. I read that it will feature key features like 4K gaming when in TV mode, 120 FPS at a resolution of 1080p in handheld mode, HDR support, and AI upscaling. These features are game changer.

Trump did this one.. Damn it!! I know something like this is definitely bound to happen because of all these tariff nonsense.
 
I do plan on getting a Switch 2 though I don't usually get a console as soon as it's released. I usually get one after it's been out for a little bit because I want to see what games come out for the console first. If there's not enough games for that particular console then it's not worth it for me to buy that console in the first place (in my opinion).
