How do you handle work pressure?

I handle work pressure with time management and taking care of myself. Setting measurable targets is also very effective in breaking work related pressure down.

I don't do anything that is going to fully break me down. I don't even enjoy being in a situation where the work pressure gets to my mind and body. The best thing that I always do is plan better on how to execute it, and it has been working really well for me.

I think it is not so difficult to handle work pressure. You just need to be on top of the situation. All you need to do is manage your time well and set achievable targets.

I handled some work pressure today when I heard the regional vice president was visiting our store, and she is the vice president of about half the stores in the USA. I remained calm and attended to my work as usual. I didn't know what type of person she was going to be like, never having met her before, but she seemed like a pretty nice person and was grateful that I worked there.

As for the past companies I've worked for, mainly Walmart, I felt there was a lot of pressure on us to finish on time and get done with as much as possible. I dealt with a lot of stress and anxiety at that place, which is one of the reasons I quit. Michaels is a much smaller store than Walmart, thus there is nowhere near as much pressure to finish things as fast as you would at Walmart. I've been in a much better state since I quit big-box retail stores.

A reality check most people need to have about working for any company or any business that's not their own is that all the workers are dispensible.

Don't go killing yourself for any company because they don't care about you. If you break down and can't work again as a result of too much pressure on yourself to please them, you're going to be replaced at most 48 hours.

It is crucial to manage work pressure effectively for our well-being. That is why it is highly important to work in an environment that promotes our well-being and aligns with our values. We shouldn't just work anywhere without considering our health first.

Talking to family and spending time... Doing what I like whenever I can.
It's not easy to deal with work pressure but that's part of everyone's life and we will have to manage that, somehow.

Managing pressure at work can be difficult but when it becomes too harsh, I would advise to communicate openly with your team or probably the manager about the workload and the challenges that you're facing. That way, you can reduce work pressure.

When a company that values their worker's good health hires you, all the signs will show because the work ethics and environment will reflect everything.
